Good morning.
Following up on one of my 2016 New Year Resolution: take sculpting lessons.
So I purchased several sculpting courses from Philippe Faraut.
Here is the result:

Course – “The Art of Sculpting with Philippe Faraut: Men” on DVD.
The course is about 1.5 hours long, very good (excellent, in fact) instructions.
The results of the first head attempt are on the photos below. I am happy and looking forward to improving.
If you like the Head Stand, it is available at Morezmore in 2 sizes:
– Mini (1:12-1:6 Scale)
– Medium (1:6-1:2 Scale)
By the way, it was a beautiful spring morning in Pennsylvania on that day.
This part is not from the course. Here I am trying to figure out how to make a hollow head – for ball-jointed dolls. The idea is to cut the head open at the hairline later. The ball is PP (polypropylene). The melting point for polypropylene varies from 130 to 171 °C (266 to 340 °F). The PP balls that I am using are doing fine at 275 degrees F (the temperature for polymer clay).

Wow Natasha… I am impressed beyond belief. You are really just so talented and are able to roll right into another form with no difficulty.. Keep up the good work..Loved the Spring pictures too. Our Spring has long gone and we’re getting ready for the long hot summer..

Wonderful, you should be proud of this result! Can’t wait to see more! 🙂
I love Philippe Faraut sculptures! Your work is also amazing Natasha!
You were already so darn good- and now you are even better!
Your sculpted head is great! To get a hollow head, you can start with a core of wax and build your polymer clay over the wax, then the wax will melt out when you bake it. Not sure where I saw that done….someone on the net. Maybe it was Fairysinmypond…on Facebook.
Muchísimas gracias por tus tutoriales. Estoy aprendiendo de forma autodidacta y estoy encantada. Gracias por compartir tu experiencia con todo el mundo. Saludos desde España.
Ur sculpting is amazing. What DVD did you use. They don’t say part 1 and 2.
Thank you, you are very kind. The DVD was “The Art of Sculpting: MEN” by Philippe Faraut
My goodness, you are so gifted!! Beautiful faces 🥰 I would like to learn to make BJD dolls, too. That is what drew me to your page.
Thank you!
Thank you!
