The boots will belong to Henry, who is under the wraps until the project is completed.

As always, I am using the tools and materials that we sell at Morezmore and name them as I go along.

The feet are already wrapped in stretch foam, under the foam they look like this (the plastic is instamorph).

Paper towel pattern on the fly – just wrap a piece of paper towel around the foot, mark with a pencil, cut.
Thin lambskin leather (also called glove leather) 0.5-1 mm thickness, the thinner the better.
Fabritac glue
toothpicks
mini scissors

Sew with the sewing thread of a close color. The back of the boot is the only part that was sewn, the rest is glued together with Fabritac.

Weather the leather with an abrasive sponge
Add mini buckles

I prefer to make joint tension regulator knobs easy to access and don’t mind that they are visible, but if they get on your nerves, replace them with hex nuts or keep them under the leather.

Distress-paint with oil paint wash (Genesis paint + polymer smoothing oil in my case), color Burnt umber.
Leather absorbs oil paint so well, there is no need to specially cure genesis paints, they will be dry in a day or so.
